“One day it will have to be officially admitted that what we have christened reality is an even greater illusion than the world of dreams.”
Salvador Dali

In April of 2017, I applied for an instructor position at a local art studio. The gal interviewing me (who later became my best friend and business partner!) asked me to bring a portfolio to the interview. I was ridiculously ridiculously optimistic - even though my portfolio simply bared pencil drawings and watercolor doodles.

By the end of the interview, B and I were both zinging with electricity. With my confidence, she was quick to accept that I could most definitely replicate their gallery subjects despite my lack of experience with the medium. I went to work teaching 2 hr. paint classes open to the public. I could not believe this was real life!

In 2021, after not working for a few years due to medical reasons, and starting a family, I went into business with B and our other good friend. I was terrified to invest in myself when the outcome was so unpredictable.

It’s now 2026, and we just celebrated 5 years in business, and won a gold medal in two categories for Best of the Mid-Valley.

Over these last five years, I have painted my little heart out. I have explored heavy bodied acrylics, gouache, water color, paint pens, and ink. I have obsessed over balance, movement, color theory, and light. In this gallery, you will find completed works primarily from this decade, however there may be pieces that span over the last 18 years.
